Gridiron Gobbler – Hobo Style Art Nickel | CCX Exclusive | Limited to 15

Featuring a vintage-inspired football player on the obverse and a fully equipped turkey football player on the reverse, Gridiron Gobbler blends classic American coinage with imaginative sports-themed artwork.

With a strictly limited mintage of just 15 pieces, this exclusive release offers a distinctive addition to any collection of custom coins, football memorabilia, or Thanksgiving collectibles.

Obverse – The Vintage Gridiron Warrior

The obverse transforms the traditional Native American portrait of the Buffalo nickel into a rugged, vintage-inspired football player.

The right-facing figure wears a richly textured brown leather football helmet, complete with stitched panels, circular ventilation holes, and a traditional chinstrap.

A pair of decorative feathers extends from the rear of the helmet, preserving a visual connection to the original Buffalo nickel portrait while incorporating a creative football theme.

Black eye paint stretches beneath the player's eye, emphasizing the competitive intensity associated with the sport.

His uniform features bold orange and dark brown horizontal stripes, reminiscent of classic football jerseys from the early days of American gridiron competition.

Behind the player, a packed football stadium comes to life beneath a dramatic golden autumn sky.

The background features:

• Crowded stadium grandstands filled with enthusiastic spectators

• A brightly illuminated green football field

• Vibrant orange, yellow, and blue autumn skies

• Seasonal foliage surrounding the stadium

• Vintage-inspired football equipment and uniform details

The original LIBERTY inscription remains prominently displayed along the upper-right rim, preserving the recognizable character of the historic Buffalo nickel.

The composition captures the determination, tradition, and nostalgic atmosphere of American football.

Reverse – The Gridiron Gobbler

The reverse presents a humorous and imaginative transformation of the traditional American bison into a formidable Thanksgiving turkey football player.

The central figure is a powerful turkey dressed in a classic orange and brown football uniform, complete with oversized shoulder pads and a bold white number 15 across its back.

Its richly detailed plumage combines deep brown, copper, cream, and orange tones, creating a striking contrast against the brightly colored stadium setting.

The turkey wears a vintage-style leather football helmet while securing a traditional brown football beneath its wing.

Its aggressive forward-leaning stance gives the impression of a determined running back preparing to charge downfield.

The original UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, and FIVE CENTS inscriptions remain incorporated into the design.

The result is a playful tribute to Thanksgiving Day football, combining the spirit of competition with the holiday's most recognizable symbol.
