Designer: James Ford Clapp, Jr. Obverse Design: Official NENA emblem Reverse Design: Depicts the Massachusetts State House, below “THIS MEDAL marks the BICENTENNIAL of / MASSACHUSETTS’ CONSTITUTION & / the 35th NENA CONFERENCE / held at Boston in October / 1979.” Manufactured by: The Robbins Company - Attleboro, MA Notes: Gold filled has edge incuse “1/5-10K r,” Sterling has edge incuse “STERLING r.” Bronze uniface medals (79-1e) were engraved, mintage unknown. Originally 492 bronze (79-1d) were struck, 50 were destroyed.
