The fine spring in Liberty’s right hand honors the 1996 sponsor state of Maine, while the shield bears the fine tree and cross arms of New England. To right, FIFTY / SECOND / CONFER- / ENCE & / CONVEN- / TION. To left, MARL-/BOROUGH / MASSA- / CHUSETTS / AUGUST / 23&24. Below, 1996. Manufactured By: V.H. Blackinton - Attleboro Fall, MA Notes: Bronze uniface (96-1g) were engraved (18) EXHIBITOR, (27) COMMITTEE, (3) JUDGE, (6) SPEAKER. Two bronze, gold plated (96-1f) were used on a New England Exonumia award. Six unengraved bronze were used on exhibit awards.
