1711 NETHERLANDS Silver DUCATON (Silver Rider)

1711 Silver RiderDucaton recovered from the "De Liefde" (The Love) shipwreck off the coast of Scottland. This ship, buitl in Amsterdam in 1698 was 50 meters long and 13 meters wide, it weighed approximatey 2 tons. One its fourth voyage to Batava is hit a reef at the Moi Ness and sunk on November 3, 1711. The wreck was discovered in 1964 and Royal Naval Divers from the H.M.S Shoulton first recovered the cast-iron cannons and an unknown quantity of ducatons. This coin is associate with certificate of authenticity #164 - COA not available.
